Wim Martens will be chairing the Program Committee of PODS 2024 in Santiago, Chile:

• PODS, the ACM Symposium on Principles of Database Systems is the premier conference in database theory.
• The programme committee decides which papers are accepted to the conference.
• There is a long tradition of PODS taking place together with SIGMOD, the top database systems conference (together with VLDB). This is a great design to make theory and systems benefit from each other.
• In 2024, the joint conference will be held in for the first time ever in South America. It's going to be great!
