Tina and Wim received a SIGMOD Research Highlight Award for their work on evaluation algorithms for simple regular path queries on graph databases. The work provides an explanation why evaluation for such queries behaves better in practice than theoretical results suggest. 

The accompanying SIGMOD Record Paper is titled "Bridging Theory and Practice with Query Log Analysis" and can be found in the publications as soon as it is published.
